Accelerator pad for 69?

I just bought a 69 and it doesn't have a pad on the accelerator/gas pedal. I've looked through some parts catalogs but I don't see if I need to just buy a new pad or need the whole assembly? I can't see from the catalog how the pad would attach to metal arm. Pics attached, any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Accelerator pad for 69?

There should be nubs under the carpet that the pedal attaches to. If you are missing the nubs you can buy them for cheap. In my case someone replaced the floor and there is no holes for the nubs so I went with a 1966 pedal that screws into the floor.

BTW Welcome and nice truck!

Re: Accelerator pad for 69?

Thanks guys, that makes a lot of sense and explains what I was missing.

Yeah, it's a 72 grill and hood on a 69. I actually like the 72 grill so it will probably stay on there for now.

Not to thread jack my own thread, but as I'm a total newbie -- Previous owner put in a 350 and a Edelbrock 2701 intake manifold. I noticed last night the bolts on the driver side are missing. (See pic, two next to valve cover and one behind carb) - Anyone know if those should be mated up to the small block? Never mind about the wiring -- Pretty sure previous owner was Edward Scissorhands -- need to clean a lot of wiring up!

Not sure about those threaded holes unless they would be used for components in the TSC System...Mine are open like yours... The "Transmission Spark Control" (TCS) system was an archaic attempt to control emissions at low speeds and rpm. They were discarded with most rebuilds...

I may be wrong, but I think the holes are for the ac compressor bracket for 1973 and newer trucks and cars where the ac compressor is on the drivers side
