seen this ad in craigs list ever seen one of these?
Hello everyone!
I seen this ad on craigslist this morning, talk about a "Strange Bird" Has anyone ever seen a GMC "702 V12 Engine" before? I've seen lots of the V6's before, but never heard or seen for that matter, a V12 GMC engine.....talk about crazy..... http://kansascity.craigslist.org/pts/5332929100.html Have a good one! Ben

They were beasts! They have quite a history of applications and uses as well as "cult following" in hot rod applications. Their weak point was their spindly crankshafts and were notorious for breaking when rpm or compression were exceeded...They made a unique and unmistakable sound with straight pipes and could be heard for miles on quiet nights... http://www.curbsideclassic.com/blog/...s-at-1600-rpm/

I think it's the same concept that the 2 stoker Detroits used. Basic configurations that used the same parts and could be attached together for a larger motor.
