rubber lines to front calipers in bad position on conversion

I thought I was complete with my disc brake conversion.I put brake fluid in my master cylinder, left for the night came back this morning brake fluid everywhere.I finally figured out the rubber lines at calipers has to go in the relief's cut out to get them to seal.
It sure does leave them at a bad position turning up instead of side ways.Turning them up causes them to be right against spindles at the ball joint nut and the sharp carter key.

I had a similar problem with my hoses up front, have you tried swapping them left to right?
That's what I did, seemed to help a bunch.

They look identical to me.Only thing I see different on them is you could rotate them 180 degrees where they banjo bolt on the caliper.

the brake line is designed to ride the inside of the spindle to provide some sense of protection from road debris that's why it's milled to mount that way . As far as concerns on the Cotter pin pull it out and insert from the opposite side and bend the sharp edges around the castle nut, the brake line has that extra protective hose covering just for those issues you mentioned .

My calipers are from a '71-'72, they have a notch that uses a lug on the banjo fittings, you could possibly place either hose on either side, my hoses were giving me issues for that very reason. it looks as if yours are a late model type with out the lugs.....
Have a good one!
