Help With Wheel Selection...???

I have a friend with a Brand New set of American Racing 6 lug wheels. He bought them for a 50 Chevy truck. He will give me a smoking deal on them. Im just not sure how well they will work. Can anybody give me any info? I have one wheel to try but I don't have any tires so im not sure how much I can tell by just sticking a rim on the truck.

According to that sticker they are 5 on 4.75 which is a car and s10 pattern no 6 lug. Narrow like original so a 235/75/15 for stock hight.

235/60/15 front 275 / 60 / 15 rear 15/7

Re: Help With Wheel Selection...???

If it was me I would get a used tire in the size you want to run have it mounted on the front and back and take it from there. Go to your local tire shop and tell them you need one used tire just o test fit your wheels.
With out a tire you can still test fit to see if the the wheel will clear the rear fender and if it will clear the a arms up front.
I had a set of 15x8 that had saved for years for my 5 lug swap. When I did the swap I test fitted the wheel only to find out the wheel would hit the rear fender lip and moved on to plan B.
