S10 frontend
I heard from someone that S10 front end parts would fit on our year trucks. Is this true? would there be a lot of mods? would I be better of just swapping in 72 parts?

im not sure what the advantage would be, the tried and true method of using 71-mid eighties front end parts would seem to be the way to go unless your wanting a small bolt pattern or something, what are you planning on doing.

I have a 69 3/4 ton and I just can't seem to figure out how to get what I want. I don't want a slammed truck I just want it lowered to give it a fast muscle or street truck look. Also, I want either a 6 or 5 lug pattern instead of the 8. I just don't know how I should plan on doing this the best way.

you should be able to use 71-87 front end parts to get 5 lug disc brakes. Use stock spindles and a 1-2" drop spring or stock springs and a drop spindle. The rear is just a set of drop springs.
That should leave you lower, but not too low. You will have to do something with the rear. I am asuming you have a rear coil spring setup. Either find a rear from 71-72 or get new axles. |

Thanks for the reply. I have rear leaf springs. At what point did rearends change width so that I know where to look for one.
