I see it's a big storm coming across the country. We've been spared the cold so far, thanks to El Nino. Looks like warmer and rain here out of that. By next week (after next two cold fronts) we'll be having more normal December weather. The NW has had it bad so far

We got lucky, it was in the 40º range here so we got 3.25 inches of rain...... One inch of rain equals 15 inches of powdery dry snow or 5 inches of very wet snow, so at the very least it would have been a little over 15 inches of snow if it had been colder..... I'm just glad it was rain...

I hope and pray we dont get snow this year ,we are not equipped for it here. Last years snow sucked ,I had to stay at work and shovel snow off our walkways and spread ice melt by hand . On the clock 33 hrs straight .

Personally, I love storms at work. During Hurricane Irene, I got over 40 hours of O/T. And during Hurricane Sandy, I got more than that!

roads are dry here today between Denver and Boulder. Once the storm makes it over the Rockies, I won't be driving the truck anymore for a while.

I just bought an 87 K20 Silverado with a 8' Meyer plow set up on it. I say "bring on the snow"! I see it as $$$ now. My disability has kept me from cashing in on the snow in the past, cant shovel snow with 1 arm. Now I can sit in my nice warm cab and work some controls and shifter arm. Of course now that i have this, it wont snow here at all this year, lol. At least I'll be ready for it if it does.

Today it's 13c or 55f in southern Ontario. No snow at all. Last year this time we had two feet of snow.

No snow in Mid Michigan. Just had a severe thunderstorm blow through. It was 60 degrees at 6:00 am this morning. Crazy weather for sure. Much different than last year. We've only had one snow storm this year, where last year we had snow since mid November.

Not a lot of snow in Northern California yet but it's 20 F right now where I live and it sucks! I live on the north side of a hill and am in the shade all day during winter, I get sub zero temps at my house while the rest of the town is in the teens and 20's, a few years ago I had snow on the north side of my house until July and it was a hot summer. I got a few inches of snow a week ago and the crap just turns to ice. Have snow coming all next week, at least I'll have an excuse to put my truck in four wheel drive.

We haven't had any snow here and its been warm lately. I washed 2 vehicles yesterday in a short sleeve shirt. Been in the 50s-60s for the last couple of weeks.

No snow today but maybe half a foot Tuesday. Then colder and the wind picks up. Makes life interesting to say the least.

We set records here over the weekend in the upper 70's, my wife said we may go to the club and golf after Christmas lunch. I'd rather nap but Christmas golf is fun we have done it before. I know it is supposed to be colder toward the end of the week but they say we have another warmup starting next Mon the 21st.

Put a twist on the old "you can't sell a dead mule" story.

Sell "snow insurance" policies at $100/lot, with a money back guarantee that it won't snow.

If it does snow, give those people the $100 off their bill for clearing their lot.

It looks like we got maybe half of what you got down here in the Provo/Orem area. I think I got maybe 3-4 inches at my house. It was really heavy and wet, though.

I left the really cold weather when I moved to SC this summer. Things are still blooming and the leaves are just starting to change.

It's coming to those who get winter, but taking it's time (thank you). I counted 12 plants that still have some sort of flower on them still here. A few dandelions have popped up in my front yard. I've been doing some house painting I thought would have to wait till spring. I think right about 30 degrees has been the lowest temp yet, a few times, and that was earlier in November. we have been as warm as San Diego and Buffalo, NY has been within a few degrees. You always hear about all the snow in Buffalo, but not this year... yet. My girlfriend has been in Florida all week seeing her grandchildren. Too bad she didn't get to miss any winter weather! I had to wash the mud off my Suburban after going to the Christmas Tree farm.
