More progress on my Panel

I will be updating my website this weakend, because I will be shaving the heater holes in the firewall, but I did get some work done between, shipping, recieving a semi truck with my parts, and taking care of walk in customers. Here is a sneak preview of some of the work done. (Sandblasting the firewall and the front of the frame) WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

WES, did you repair the rear quarters or did you replace the panel? If you replaced it where did you get it?

Thanks guys... I did the patch for the firewall conversion myself. But I now have a bodyman that comes over and is helping me with some of the finer work. I am kind of learning as I go. The quarters were not rusted through. The one on the passinger side that had all of the holes in it was cut out however and then we rolled a piece of sheet metal to form the patch. Our new patch panels are not available yet. I hope to have more progress to report on this weakend. My whole point of this "rodstoration" was to show everyone what it is like to tackle a project like this. At the same time hope that people can learn from my experiences, good or bad. I have been real dissapointed with other venues that supposedly teach or show what is involved. They just are not realistic for the average do it your selfer. You guys want to know how some of the aftermarket parts fit... Well you will find out on this panel. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Great idea Wes! Looking real good, it's hard to get time to work on your own projects, 4 years into a 57 and the frame is almost done, hope to have it done by 2010 for Turkey Rod Run. Maybe.
