painless wiring harness internal or external reg?

im thinking about getting a painless wiring harness part no. 10206. it doesnt say any think about using it with an external or internal regulator. my truck is a 250 6cyl. with the factory external regulator. i really dont wanna have to find a different alternator if i dont need to change it. what wires do i change if i do have to change it over to internal?

It can do both, but you will have to supply the wires from the regulator to the alternator. It does have instructions for both

These kits are not plug and play, you have to crimp most of the end connectors on.

But it does supply several circuits that don't exist in a factory harness.

Yes, I would buy it again.

If you have not yet chaged the alternator go with the external regulator harness. You can still later bypass it (loop it back) at the regulator connector pretty trivially. You can't go the other way (run your regulator with an internal regulator harness).
