Park Lamp on a 67
I bought new park lamps and i went to install them. The connectors are completely different from the connections on the trucks wiring harness
The connector on the top is the park lamp and the bottom is the truck's harness. They will not fit together. I tried bending and shaping the plugs on the lamp connector but i cant get a good enough connection (they are very dim). I dont want to cut and connect the wires together if i dont have to The parklamps are new and so is the wiring harness. Am i missing something??? The truck is a 1967 C10. Any ideas guys?

Re: Park Lamp on a 67
I think before you tried to bend the spade on the new plugs you should have accepted the fact that the part they sent was incorrect and left it until you called the people you got the stuff from and talked to them about it

Re: Park Lamp on a 67
the female plug against your thumb is correct for 1967 and that is part of the harness. so the park lamp is wrong

Re: Park Lamp on a 67
1967 has the angled plug, 68' used the 45 degree plugs. I assume this is because the park lamps went on with the headlights from this year on. You will find a lot of 67 only quirks with your truck.

Re: Park Lamp on a 67
Unfortunately I have come across a couple "67 only" quirks, so here another to add to the list. The park lamps mount up just fine. So i guess I will just cut the wires and splice them together. Kind of rigged but for something this small, I can get over it

Re: Park Lamp on a 67
Ive also come across early and late 67 parts. The ignition switch retainer that holds it in place behind the dash has an early edition and late edition. They dont make the early edition which is what i have

That's freaking weird. My lamps are the same on my 68, truck harness is different than yours. Gezz
