Ruby !!! my 87 stepside ls1 turbo

Hey guys and girls, my truck is a 1987 shot box stepside, 2wd, bought for $1000, at first the plan was to cummins swap it but plans change quickly when deals come up. Ended up coming acrossed a smashed 2000 C5 corvette for $2000, so I knew that was the way I should go, on are way to pick the vet up I was thinking of what to use off it, then my buddy said it be great to have the IRS out of the vet, great idea !!!

So ended up paying $2000 for my ls1, the t56 and irs out of the vet, all other parts are on the shelf to besold... ended up talking a year and a half, all work done by me, my good machinist buddy, and another wiring genius buddy.

Now for a little backround on the truck... it has the ls1 t56 and irs out of the vet, single 6766 precision turbo, custom made stainless headers and crossover, 3" stainless exthaust, tial waste gates and BOV, 80lbs injectors, holley hi ram intake manifold and holleyoil pan, 6an line with two 255 inline pumps, aeromotive fuel reg, msd 2step, center force clutch, drive shaft shop alum drive shaft and much more.

Had put about 2000kms on it before she quit.... haven't had it apart yet but not to worried about it, theres tones of cheap ls engines around!

So over the winter ill pull the engine and see what I did.... have another ls1 block so could always just build that, will see... will post pictures as soon as possible

I'm looking forward to seeing more pics/info. Too bad that it quit, hopefully you didn't screw up too many things. I'd consider going LQ4 next time, maybe open up the ring gaps a little depending on how much boost you're pushing.

Very nice.

FYI, with imgur if you put an h before the .jpg you'll get a much more reasonable size image, so people won't have to scroll to the right. There are other sizes too, h is my preference.
