Part ID help please
I bought a stock air cleaner and the spacer for my truck. Is this part that goes in the valve cover just a regular pcv or is it something else. it doesn't look like a typical pcv. If it is not does anyone sell a replacement.
Also what would these clips be called and where can I get new ones? thanks keith

Re: Part ID help please
I'd call the first one the breather pipe nipple. I was not aware it had any moving parts in it at all (the PCV is on the other valve cover). It's basically the fresh air intake for whatever the PCV pulls through on the other side, and any extra fumes get ingested by the engine (I guess if your PCV fails or you have a TON of blowby).
I'd call the second ones cable clamps. To get exact, you'll need a restoration house, maybe Eckler's Corvette if not through LMC or similar or a board vendor. If stock isn't a priority you can get insulated cable clamps at any hardware store. Heck, you could take the insulation off and be pretty close. I also have bought line clamps from LMC that are quite similar; they're used to hold the fuel line to the frame.

It's a spark arrestor. That hose supplies air to your motor from the air cleaner. That air mixes with the moisture and fumes in your motor and is drawn out by the pcv.
Those clamps are adel clamps. Like these. http://www.ebay.com/bhp/adel-clamps |

Re: Part ID help please
On my 69 GMC 307, the fresh air hose and screen was in the passenger side valve cover and the PCV valve in the drivers side valve cover. I recently put a crate 350 in and put them in the original locations. I ran the hose to the bottom of my Edelbrock air cleaner, using an adapter I got from Edelbrock. I could have used a breather instead of the hose, but I figured the fresh air going into the engine would be cleaner if it went through the air filter first. I don't trust the aftermarket breathers to do a good job filtering air.

Re: Part ID help please
Looks good, I 'm going to set mine up correct I assume a big block is the same cause the hose on the adapter goes to the hole on the passenger side valve cover. I guess to put oil in I will have to pull the pcv out cause my valve covers do not have an oil fill cap. Thanks for the pic
