I believe it is that yellow color. I am not sure the name of the color, but a mild kinda yellow color. Maybe someone else knows more.

I think blue, my '80 blazer is yellow. I think it was different between the 69-72 and the 73-80.

69-72 are blue, just like the bowties on the hubcaps. 73+ are the yellow/gold color just like the bowties on their hubcaps.

I guess that's another weird thing on my blazer. The bowtie was that same 80 yellow, but it was in the seatbelt holder console?? Weird eh? Seems like the more we dig into this blazer the less "original" it seems.

lol... They were identical consoles except for the cup holder\seatbelt holder and the emb. color. Hey, just paint it back blue to get some the "original" ness back.

Samey-
You just gotta wonder how the wrong color got there tho', you know? The other weird things are that the rocker panels were replaced and filled with foam. The pass. front fender was replaced, but they welded up the emblem holes so I only had one K/5 emblem. The shift indicator fiber optic wire was cut right at the shift indicator. Not too weird, but just little things from a Blazer that had an original owner.

The seat belt holder style console was used up thru 76 or 77, so it's possible.

What was the diff in the seatbelt holder or cupholder? When did they deciede which kind to use. It wasn't a year thing, was it an option thing? Or what?

I guess GM realised the seatbelt holder was stupid and a waste of space. That plus shoulder belts and retractable belts became standard.
