New windshield not center
I bought a new windshield for my 1979 c10. Installed and notice the antennae is not center. Pulled a tape measure and it is off by over 1/2". Too late now can't tell unless you know what your looking for but damn. Is this normal?

Re: New windshield not center
I don't see how it can be installed off that much. Could this be in the glass? Or my fault?

Re: New windshield not center
A little hard to see but the antennae wire is offset to the right

Re: New windshield not center
I wonder if that's intentional, to give the driver a little "wider" field of view.
I don't think I've ever measured, is the rearview mirror perfectly center? I wouldn't be surprised at all if the mirror was also shifted a half inch to the right, in order to bring the reflection angle and your viewing line to true center.

I've never seen that before. If you don't mind me asking what brand windshield is it?

Re: New windshield not center
Not sure the brand. But will let you know. The mirror is in the middle of the antennae wire. Is it is off as well. Didn't think it was a big deal. Upon installation of the window there is really now way the window could move more than a 1/16th of an inch in any direction that's why I believe it is the window itself. Not a big deal but I would really like perfection. Not like I can do anything about it now

Re: New windshield not center
Never gave it much thought, but every one of those little windshield to antenna cable adaptors I have scavenged is bent/offset to one side.
