Cool Truck Fleets

One thing leads to another. I was looking at the "Got Torque" thread, which is a truck hauling a crane. I got to thinking about Jimmy Gregory up the road from me and his company's fleet of trucks AND cranes. He lives in a modest single story house and walks around in his company work clothes (brown pants/tan shirt) and you'd never know he has gazillions of dollars worth in equipment. His colors are not flashy, dark brown with cream and clean as a whistle. The company is Digging & Rigging and he has got the cranes! Does jobs about anywhere, especially if he has the equipment no one else does. So, they are the first fleet I'm showing. I'll just give the link to their site. It's easy to navigate. Click on the gallery as well as equipment, crane rentals, etc. I think he's really just playing with his toy trucks

www.digrig.com

I'll come up with more. I guess I like construction related, but let's see anything you have

How about Miller Transfer? These guys haul crazy loads. I showed one of their trucks in a thread here a while back. they are all over the nation with 14 locations. Check out their haul videos:

Re: Cool Truck Fleets

I have actually seen some of those Miller rigs in our travels carrying some major loads .Saw some other company rigs in Michigan this last summer that have been posted here before , restored green classic trucks doing tree and landscape work ,cant remember the name .

Re: Cool Truck Fleets

Oh yeah, Litzenburger Lanscaping in Michigan UP.

There's a company in PA called High Steel Structures.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...mtqbFnDXOLwUJQ

I see their trucks on the road from time to time. They definitely have some monster cranes and they have a fleet of trucks to haul their fabrications. I haven't found pictures of any so far, but one thing that pleases me is to see tradition fleet paint jobs. A fleet may not have the shinest stainless and alumnium trimmed dual stack rigs, but a well executed traditional paint scheme, and maybe a touch of polished, such as lights, grab handles, etc. really stands out. That's how Digging & Rigging is. Their smallest equipment has company paint schemes right down to the pickups. High Steel does the same. Their trucks are red with black fenders and yellow wheels

Re: Cool Truck Fleets

I saw a pair of Digging & Rigging flatbeds on my way home today. This outfit is probably all over the country. They are up in PA not too terribly far, couple hours, from here. They have a sharp fleet:

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...YswFNaLCQPXRHA

Sorry I'm being lazy and just giving links, but you can see more this way.

The other black truck fleet, even nicer I think, Is TMC Hauling. The black Peterbuilt flatbed outfit:

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...heM-SXqtqpP6tQ

Check out the equipment for sale. There's 9 379 day cabs for sale at the moment, all black, all chromed out, 250"WB, Cat C-15 (475hp) '07s

Re: Cool Truck Fleets

Yeah, I saw they have a shop in Morgantown. I never knew that till I looked at their site for this thread. I think it's mainly to service wind towers. He probably saw the need for a crane service in the region...found a gap.

Re: Cool Truck Fleets

Brockway!! What were some of the trucks they ran back then?

We all love tow rigs right? At least as long as it's not us on the hook. This outfit in NJ is obviously owned by a trucks lover. Lots of cool units:

I imagine so

Down I-81 in Harrisonburg, VA is a company with possibly the classiest fleet paint out there. At least I sure think it is. Harrisonburg Motor Express...nice trucks! So far I only have this picture.

That's what I love, fleet paint scheme coupled with trimming out. Privateers definitely go farther with their trucks, but somethng about a fleet

I don't know if I've seen that one, or an other with that long grille/fender treatment. Looks cool, but makes me wonder how DOT lets that fly with no bumper. I'd like to have something there in a heavy hauler. I know they only do so much, just sayin'.

There's an outfit with multiple custom trucks that had shown at Carlisle. Trucks are black with orange accents. They are all different, but similar enough you know they go together

The second and third picture are the same truck. I guess he has blacked-out covers. Those trucks are sharp. I like how they vary a bit while keeping with a theme.

Re: Cool Truck Fleets

Very nice. I like the organized look of a matching fleet. I understand t's not easy keeping up a look on a fleet, especially paint. Anyone can find a new or used truck, but you have to find a red one with the right configuration. It's even better (and harder) when there is a brand, like all the red Chevys, stuck to also. But it says something solid compared to just grab whatever.
