Changing interior colors
Wasn't sure were I should post this question, but can a person get a set of seats or door panels that are cloth and have the color changed?
For example can you get them re-dyed from gray to a tan color? And who could do this? Maybe a local upolestry(SP?) place? I got some ideas running through my head as always. Thanks

why dont you just buy aftermarket repo's in the color you want, instead of tearing your interior apart, having it re-dyed,then have to put it all back together,,,,,,,,i think it would be less of a hassle......imo...jeff

If your broke like me and enjoy working on your truck, I have had good luck with the spray dye vinyl and fabric color. Exspecially like fabric stuff cloth or carpet. This carpet was faded to nearly white. It cost about $15 to do the carpet. Better than $230 for new carpet (blazer). + it looks like nice original 23 year old carpet.
Which alot of peolpe whould hate, but i like it original. I also did the console dash doorpannels headliner headliner trim( not all the same color) They were all faded but were good pieces. On a color change gray to tan the cloth, soft vinly, carpet seatcovers should be fine. it soakes in. On the door panels and hard plastics, I say if you prep it right it works perfect too, but I am sure some would disagree. Last edited by sameyrasmea72; 09-19-2003 at 03:15 PM. |
