No V8 option for 2016 Reg Cab 1500?
I had seen a few 2016 Silverado's on the road and I kind of like the look of new front clip, so I got looking at the GM sites build your own looking at Reg Cab swb's and the only motor option showing is the 4.3l v6 across board (Short,Long,2wd,4wd) all trim.

If you go under "specs" then "mechanical" it shows the 5.3L as "optional" for all cabs/wheelbases. The 6.2L is NOT available in the regular cabs.
I did a "build your own" on Chevrolet.com and it even shows up for me in the base WT's. What I am seeing is that the 4.8L has been dropped from the entire lineup. I wonder when they did that? It's only the 4.3, 5.3, and 6.2L now for gas. It's going to be a tough truck to find though, if it's something you really want, you may have to order it. I looked off and on for my truck (double cab Z71 5.3L) for a few months and only remember seeing a couple 5.3L regular cabs. Most regular cabs were base WT's or LS.

I never test drove one, but seeing the power numbers and how much cheaper most 4.3L trucks were... it was tempting to get one, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy a full size truck with a V6.... if that's what I wanted, a Colorado would have made more sense.
