250 oil issue HELP
My inline 250 is not used on a daily basis. Just here and there when a truck is needed. I thought I had a exhaust leek but when I tackled that job it was rocker noise so when poped off the valve cover I discovered that 3 rockers are bone dry! So what causes this clogged push rod? Bad lifter? Or bad oil pump/screen? Any help is welcome

Re: 250 oil issue HELP
Unless an oil galley is plugged right at the lifters in question i would assume ether the lifters or push rod tube are gummed up, if your getting oil to the other rockers then most likely not the oil pump. But rev it up a little and see of the 3 rockers improve at a little higher rpm.

Re: 250 oil issue HELP
First off I would check the oil level then start it up. As the motor gets warmer you should see oil start to cover the rocker arm. As Swamp mentioned rev it up slightly to help the flow of oil. Don't rule out collapsed or worn lifter...ed
