I still have some to go, but it is a good thing that I didn't cut up the cab that I removed the section of firewall to repair. I had to cut a large section out to make a patch panel for the repair.

Ouch is right Joe.. But I guess it will be another lesson to publish on my website... Can't do anything but repair it and move forward... and hope that the worce is over with. The funny thing is, this is a South Central California truck that the bottom of it is rock solid. This must have had a bad water problem in the windshield area on the left hand side, becaust this is where I am finding most of the rust. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

It's something about that last zoomed out photo (of rust) it looks horrible. This is one post I will be following, as I have a few rust spots on my truck. My rockers are in worse shape than I would admit to before. I was under my truck last weekend, and I was floored by how bad they've gotten. Of course, as the saying goes..."rode hard, and put away wet" that's how I treat my truck.

Thanks for all of your support. I should have it fixed tomorrow. I am going to have to buy a gallon of Rust Mort though to kill what I can't cut out. I will post pictures again once I get it repaired. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
