suspension swap
Can the complete front and rear suspension off a 1976 2wd 1/2 ton be swapped to a 1986 3/4 ton 2wd?

The shot answer is: Yep
everything bolts up same same except MAYBE the rear spring hanger mount. 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton use different leaf springs and the 3/4 are longer. so it is a simple case of knocking out the spring hanger rivets and bolting them back on in the forward holes (a lot, maybe all trucks) have provisions for both springs. do a search, there are several threads on this site for swamping in 3/4 springs on 1/2 ton trucks.
