Built a new console for my 66. took about a month, think it turned out ok!! Started with cardboard template, then to wood, fiber glassed the whole thing.Days of sanding to get it ready for paint and clear coat.

That came together really nice. Can you actually disengage from park with a drink in the cupholder, or does it hit your knuckles?

Tons of room on the shiftier, and the cup holders came from Summit.The fiber glass can be a pain, if you haven't worked with it before.Biggest problem is the curves and angles,need to mix the resin right to have plenty of time to work, before it start's to harden.

Really nice looking job but; There is a lot of airspace underneath that I think I would of added a sliding pocket and had some room for odds and ends !! Other then that it really looks good !!!

I thought about making a glove box there, but I'm think in the future it will be a nice place for a 10" sub for the stereo.!!

kids wanted power in the back seat for their electronics, so I added 5 USB ports, and 2 plugs for computers, game console, etc.

I used cardboard as a pattern , to shape and the get the contour's I wanted ,then used the cardboard pattern to lay out the wood.
