RE: Floor Shifter Kit (automatic)?

I dropped my 1970 C-10 off at the Tranny shop for a rebuild on the 400 tranny. He had another truck there he was working on and it had a floor shifter and I liked the look of that. Can anyone suggest where to purchase one and which is the best bang for the buck?? Thanks in advance for and advice or suggestion

Do you have bucket's or a bench seat?

If bench then I would look at one that you have to pull a lever to get it to shift in any gear. I have had passengers kick them in neutral and down shift them before driving down the road with them setting in the middle of a bench seat with a floor shifter.

Thumbs up Re: Floor Shifter Kit (automatic)?

I did a S-10 floor shifter in mine. I'm running the 4l80e so I wanted the over drive setting. I cut the console down and then made the frame for it and covered it.
Some day I'll have a full one installed.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Floor Shifter Kit (automatic)?

I've got the B&M light truck mega shifter in my 3100 and love it. It's got provisions for 3 and 4 speed autos and it has both normal and ratchet modes to either cruise or bang thru the gears.

Re: Floor Shifter Kit (automatic)?

I did a B&M shifter with a console surrounding it, Its just right for reach because its the truck series that I believe are taller. It has provisions for back-up and neutral safety switch.

Re: Floor Shifter Kit (automatic)?

I put the B&M Mega Shifter in mine. The one for trucks has a taller console so it is at the right height for a bench seat. Mine also has a button in the handle to shift the Gear Vendor overdrive.
