Lowering blocks trouble - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

So I got the U-bolts off of one side and the new U-bolts and blocks do not line up on the trailing arm.
Is there a step that I missed?
Removing panhard bar?
Taking both sides off 1st before putting everything back?
I know its probably something simple but I can't figure it out

I had the same problem with my blocks when I installed them. I had to compress the u bolts a little to get them in the holes by lifting up on the axle as high as i could get it. A pic is on page 8 of my build if you want to see them in. What brand are your blocks?

Yup, same problem on my first truck. A PITA but they will eventually go in with a lot of cursing.
