Engine paint
Has anybody used the 2 part urethane engine paint from Eastwood? is it worth the money compared to say VHT engine paint with ceramic? I used some Duplicolor engine paint this week and was not that impressed. Thanks Guys

No, but I used 2-part acrylic enamel with lead from PPG, which is hard to find, but its bullet-proof and more important seems to hold its gloss for years under heat and harsh conditions.
The VHT will look as good on Day0, probably, but not for as long. Not sure where Lynden is but the only place I could find leaded acrylic enamel was at the Wesco in Kirkland, WA. They don't carry it at every location, so phone first if that's how you're going to do it! I started with DP90 primer, which is also important. Paint doesn't bond to metal well, but primer does, and paint binds to primer.

I've used it. I actually returned all my vht back to autozone & bought the Eastwood Chevy orange. I used a gun but you can brush it on. Flowed really well and glad I bought it.

FWIW, I looked last night and I used "high gloss catalyst". Had no idea the catalyst affected the gloss level.

Here is some "Fireball Red" for the GMC guys out of rattle cans which was the only way I could obtain it.
