66 Burb--- what is my best option for paint?
I have told my story before. 1966 Suburban Original 327 , powerglide, PS, PB, 3 seat, original interior in nice condition. 98K original miles. Cheap paint job 20 years ago. I have owned it twice. Question. I have 2 new NOS GM fenders to fix rusted out fender problems. It has a glue on bump strip down the side which was masked off when they repainted it years ago and that needs to go but will leave a stripe down the side as it was not painted the exact color. I wish it was original paint with patina and I would be set, but that is not the case. I do not want to do a full body restoration with a $20K paint job as the original interior condition will not go with that. Any ideas on painting it?

I forgot the front seat looked so bad. I have all the original material to have the seat redone.

BEAUTIFUL BURB....So is a 2 tone out of the question, just paint the body line below the hood ? If so ask for photo shop help, maybe. There are Some talented painters around they could probably match 50 year old patina...

NOTSOLO- not a bad idea except the only really good paint is on the hood. The top and especially the area around the side windows also need paint.

20 K will get you a car show dream truck you won't want to drive. Have you done any auto painting? White is the most forgiving color to paint from what I hear.
