1970 chevy 3/3 ton ?

Im thinking about buying this Chevy its lived in Arizona most of its life so there's absolutely no rust rockers and the floorboards are solid no bondo and a straight solid body it has a 4 inch suspension lift and 1/2 inch body lift supposedly its the stock motor and everything and apparently it runs it just needs the gas tank cleaned out and the carb cleaned he also said it needs a new steering knuckle cause the old one ripped and It needs a Passenger front brake line what do you guys think? hes asking 3k

If it is as solid as you describe it would be a great truck to have. the letters are probably stick on and could be removed and the truck buffed out real nice.

Re: 1970 chevy 3/3 ton ?

Slots are nice, but it looks to be ridden pretty hard and put away wet. I'd estimate that's a $2000-$4000 truck. $5K at the most. My 2 cents only, but if you don't want a 4" susp lift and a whatever inch body lift combo, I'd keep lookin. If the price is on the low end, well, then might be more doable.

Be sure to check the Vin Number on the door jamb with the Frame number.
Also the Spid Label located on the inside of the Glove box Door.
I thought High Humps in the floorboards were for Big Blocks which they did not do in The 4X4's
Not a bad price Depends on your Budget and what you are looking for.

All 4x4s got the high hump regardless of engine. If the body is rust free and it runs or truly won't take anything other than the things you've described, it's probably worth that price. You could yank the lifts off pretty easy if they aren't your thing.

Buy it realizing it needs a lot more than just a few low buck fixes , Next year it will be $6,000.00 in the condition it's in right now prices are going up almost daily !

Be very careful buying anything where they say it is rust free because it is from Arizona. I bought mine sight unseen from there and it was a total scam, truck actually came from Colorado and was junk. I would never buy anything without looking at it before handing over any money.

Re: 1970 chevy 3/3 ton ?

In my opinion, it isn't worth that much since it is a 69 or 70,which has drum brakes in the front, disc brakes came on these in 71...and you can't start it or drive it without cleaning out the tank and carb work....I think this is more of a $2000.00 truck, there was a 72 K20 last week on CL here in Ca, for $1800.00 ,needed a new engine, but was all complete, but the truck was real clean.....could buy a crate motor, for $1500.00 and would have an awesome truck, I think it is sold now.

Re: 1970 chevy 3/3 ton ?

I bought a truck that the seller claimed was an original New Mexico high desert truck. Turned out is spent most of its life in Florida on a pig farm. When ever the inside was dirty, open the doors and hose it out.

Since it was a high option truck, I bought it for the options.

Cut front fenders, wiring hanging from dash, questionable mods (steering wheel/tach), poor spelling, poor paint job hiding god knows what.. I do like the wheels and tires. Id pick it apart in person, get the price down and wave cash. Hide your trailer when you go to look at it.
