carb rebuild kit deterioration after less than 6 months

I rebuilt the carb about 6 months ago and the plunger boot has cracked .. Is it possible to remove and replace the pump plunger without have to pull the carb again ? .. Its a Rochester 4GC I got a new boot coming from

If I have to pull the carb I'm just gonna replace it cause rebuilding it every 6 months is gonna blow

The problem is the fuel it has too much alcohol and cheap rubber. Is it the dust boot on top or accelerator pump. You don't have to rebuild the whole thing.

The Chinese and Ethanol do not mix well. Maybe there is a better kit out there.

I think you have to pull the top of the carb off to get the plunger out. Possible on the truck, but if you drop a screw down the bore....

I agree on the ethanol and the plunger. Maybe you can search for a better one.

The rubber is definitely cheap .. So I find the boot on eBay cause I don't want to buy another kit for just a boot .. I don't think California gas has ethanol .. Gonna replace boot and if I'm still getting weak fuel delivery than I'm pulling the carb and popping the horn .. I did let it sit for a while when I was wiring up the lights and replacing the doors
