You can but the cutout portion of the bedside is a little larger on 79 and up. The hump in the floor to clear the gas filler hose is smaller on the 78 and down bed floors and will leave a small 3/4-1" gap between the bedside and the hump. You could weld a patch from the old bedside to the new one and it would look fine after that.

True statement, I have 85 quarters on a 73 floor. Other than the minor gap at the filler, absolutely bolted on.

There is a weld at the rear stake pocket, when you bolt it all back together put the tailgate on to set the gaps. Tighten bolts with required gaps then weld it.

15x8.5 and 10 inch Convo Pros. I had a set of those at one time with 275/50 fronts and 295/50 rear tires. It was the thing to do then. I still like them

I picked this 77 last week end for 1000 bucks Putting a 4-6 drop 350 with a th350.Dont really like the wheels they got to go.
