Don't want to loose this paint just needs a little touch up work

This old 79 has been in the barn for 8 years untouched because of various issues in life thought I'd show of this one. It's still in its original paint and doesn't have any rust but no drive train. Used to be a family friends. Question I have is it better to replace the seat springs for the seat?

I would just have the seat repaired if you have a good shop that is reasonable. Nice seats can be found but many times the color is wrong or even if the fabric is good, the foam can be broken down some. I would get a motor and tranny in it and get it back on the road. Just clean it up and replace what has to be replaced.

Been wanting it back on the road for some time. Hopefully this year it will be a running truck again. Thanks for the info on the seat.
