My Truck Is Finished ? But ...............................

I cant go get it as planned this saturday at Nsane Hotrods in Tennessee .The weather is messing me up bigtime ,ice and snow predicted starting tomorrow .I have owned this truck about 6 years now and the last five it has been in 3 different shops .The 2nd shop built the truck from the ground up but could not get the heat to work in the Vintage Air .Nsane took on the Vintage Air system and got it all going and now I cant go get it . I miss my truck and am ready to put the miles on it .Nsane has been great to work with and I highly reccomend them .

Looking forward to seeing your truck. I totally understand your anticipation. My Shortbox has been in pieces for almost 15 yrs.

It is called the "bug" for a reason. When you get it there is no looking back.

That's a bummer, but it's a lot cheaper to have your plans messed up by Mother Nature than by a bad shop. Hope you can get it soon.

Re: My Truck Is Finished ? But ...............................

I have no complaints with the shop that built the truck from the ground up and Nsane Hotrods has been great even though I have not been there or met them in person .They have kept me informed through the whole process even though its only been there a few weeks .I am so excited to finally be getting it home soon .After waiting 5 years I guess 1 more week wont be too bad .

When you make it to pick up the truck, send me an email or text and maybe we can meet up. I'm only about 30 minutes from Nsane's shop.

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: My Truck Is Finished ? But ...............................

Hi Joe ,
I tried to downsize my herd by selling the 55 Bel Air but it didnt stick ,I bought 3 trucks .I still have the El Camino and the Malibu vert and the 81 Trans Am too. I hope we can get together somewhere as I plan to put the miles on this truck starting real soon .

Done is a relative term. "Done for now" fits most everything in life, but who says all that?

Re: My Truck Is Finished ? But ...............................

I got home at a little after 8 PM tonight with the truck ,we went across the Great Smoky Mountains over to the Blue Ridge Mountains home ,a very scenic route .We wanted to stop in Sevierville to meet Matt and see his truck in person but just didnt have time as we needed to get back home and get ready for work tomorrow .It was nice getting to meet Dewayne of Nsane Hotrods and see his shop and the many projects he is working on .The truck drove nice and the heat and A/C work great .Glad to finally have my truck finished .

It's a good thing you didn't come by. Some family members came by and wanted to visit, so it killed any free time I had.
