Re: LMC alternatives?
I picked up a replacement cloth seat cover for my 82' 4 x 4 from LMC. Came with instructions for install, hog rings / pliers. It looked good and original, but in less than six months the seam on the drivers side opened up about 6". Was a little disappointed.... the original lasted 25 years without splitting.

Re: LMC alternatives?
My last order from lmc was for some doors and one looked like someone dropped a bowling ball right on the body line from about 10 feet when I called them and told them I was referring one door it was damaged they said well ain't you a body like I told them if I wanted to fix a door id would have fixed the one on the truck

Re: LMC alternatives?
I recently bought a heater control panel and windshield wiper/washer switch from LMC. Quality and fit was very good, but the shipping charge was something like $18.95 for a 1-2 pound box. Being familiar with the huge discounts offered to high volume shippers, I seriously doubt if their cost was more than $5.00.
I've had good service from ClassicParts.com, who bought Chevy Duty several years ago. Their website isn't great, but their catalog is decent. And when I called for tech help, I spoke to a guy who was totally familiar with the part and its installation. Unfortunately, none of the vendors have anything close to LMC's detailed illustrations.
