just back from a Pick Your Part type yard

went looking for plastic lenses for my '73 fleet side bedded GMC

The one in Redding Calif. had Nothing, that was a few days ago

This morning I drove to the one in Chico, they had 4 or 5 in various stages of 'picked over'

I ended up getting 2 front fender side lights and 3 of the ss trims for them
and 2 real nice tail lights/ss trims and gaskets for them

This all came to $29 which seems kind of expensive until I remember what LMC wants, and then there's the half pocket of light bulbs I always seem to leave with

I think of these trips like some like to go fishing, I get all coffee'd up and really enjoy the ride. 'love this hobby - keep on truckin'

I used to love to "go fishing" at the junkyards...all kinds of good stuff, ideas you can get, etc.
I Have a family now, and it will probably be years before i can make time to go to the junkyards again.

Here we have some huge junkyards but they move stuff fast so if you might want it get it today.Outside of town we have a few small country ones that have anything but you pay more and it might not be as nice as you wish tho.
