Re: Air bag kit

First is your GMC a trailing arm truck or rear leafs. In the vendors section look up Pro Performance and get with Travis on what you want to do to get the right stuff for the truck you have.

Re: Air bag kit

I was just reading poor reviews on chassis tech. Might want to verify. Also, as with everything else, you get what you pay for. I'd rather buy stuff from a known vendor who sells quality parts

Re: Air bag kit

Thanks for the referral PGSigns.

It is easier to bag it if it's trailing arm suspension, but most GMC's are leaf spring. We can put together a bag kit for you around the $1,000 price. It will be using quality components that you'll trust under your truck. In the future, you can build from it, adding shock relocaters, adjustable trac bar, etc.... Which are all things you'll want to consider doing to make the suspension work well.

This is all considering it is a trailing arm truck. Even if it's not, we can still do a bag kit for you, but won't be as bolt-on and in the $1,000 range.

Give me a call Monday if you'd like and can go over more in detail.

Re: Air bag kit

$500 will get you 4 quality airbags typically, but not a full kit that's good enough to last or that I'd trust my life with lol And if you're chopping a LWB to SWB please use a certified welder/experienced builder. Messing with frames & suspension can be very costly if done wrong the first time.

Re: Air bag kit

Yeah do not buy anything from chassis tech aka airbagit they are a joke,They make knock off airbags they won't list the specs on their air compressor. And a member a while back bought one of their air management kits one valve in it would leak.He called them for help they gave him the run around and basicly told him good luck fix it yourself.Honestly i would only buy off known vendors which are most of the forum vendors like Travis up there. He only carries the good brands he knows his stuff and prices are fair to me.

Re: Air bag kit

Ok thank you everybody for your responses. I will stay away from the eBay kits. My truck is equipped with the trailing arm suspension. My dad and I will be doing the work on shortening the frame. We have been working on cars for as long I can remember and my dad has been welding for a very long time as well. Just new to the air bag scene and was wondering about the kits. When I do get my money for the kit I will get in contact with one of the vendors. Thanks again for the quick responses. Glad I finally joined forum.

Re: Air bag kit

If you want just a basic bag kit those ain't too bad price,If you want it to lay frame things start to get really pricey.
