Talking Bed wood progress

Thought I would throw up some pictures of my progress this weekend. All rear lights are installed and wired. I also started mounting the bed wood. Wasn't sure how the white would look, but I think it's coming together nicely....

Both. Dark Mahogany stain first, and then white Valspar paint and clear on top.

Thumbs up Re: Bed wood progress

I'm glad you posted those last pictures of the full picture of the tailgate. I really like that custom look and touch. I was going to ask if it was a reflection are something in the first picture.

The white wood and chubs look right at home with each other!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Bed wood progress

wow that did turn out nice. the angle on your first pics doesnt show to much grain, but the more distant pics you can really see it...good job.
i've been thinkin on doing something similar with my wood but a whole differnt process than the way you did it.

i said it before an i'll say it again i hope my 503 turns out as nice as yours.

Re: Bed wood progress

What gas tank cap is that? It looks like you had to countersink it to make it sit flush? I have a filler very similar but I like the look of yours better.

The gas filler is for a boat. I got mine at West Marine. There are more pictures in my build thread:

Awesome thank you. Do you have any fill speed problems with the angle of the neck and the fill tube? I ran into this with my current fill neck. Is your gas tank vented?
