Exhaust Idea....Tell me wat you think?

I'v Been on this idea for quite some time now. I wanna get some headers that bolt on like usual But dont have a collector on them. Then I wanna run all the pipe back to the bed ok. Then I wanna cut 8 hols from the bottom on the bed and stick one pipe in each hole. The pattern should look like this:

. . . .
. . . .

IMO..I think it will look good. There will be no mufflers, Although I did find some that will work with my application. Now...I kno people put the pipe out the side up by the door. But...I have never ever seen them comming out of the BED haha. I think it would look GREAT!!! So when I get the engnie done that hows we are doing it Tell me wat ya think guys!!!

Does it rain where you live? How will you keep the water out? With some cool looking exhaust flaps like on the big rigs?

heh, and you guys thought interior resonance was bad with dumped Flowmasters! '78 Silverado, make sure you wear hearing protection every time you drive your truck. i've probably driven 25-30 cars with exhaust stacks out the hood, this is essentially the same thing you're doing, but it will be behind you rather than in front. let me tell you, there's nothing quiet about them. i think if you really want something different, put a set of side pipes on it.

I think that it would be a waste of time and money. But to each his own.

It would work but not like you would want it to as in performance. You wouldn't have any backflow and the truck would be choking itself on the exhaust. If anything why not just have long tube headers with collectors then add a branch off of the pipes then.

i think brandon is right about this really hurting the performance of your truck. you really need all the pipes to collect into one. if you really want the 8 pipes i would use a collector like normal but then split them back into 8 pipes just before they exit
