original wheel size

I have a 69 C10 and I would like to replace my aftermarket wheels with original steelies. What size should I be looking for? I pulled the spare out and I'm not sure what/where to measure. Are these 15X5.5?

Anybody want these when I find my replacements?

Re: original wheel size

Look on the back side of the stock wheel. Most have the size stamped into them.

OK to give away your old wheels, but a paid subscription is required to sell on the board.

Re: original wheel size

The first picture you show is of a 6" 4 "nub" wheel that would have come on 71 and newer 4wd trucks and will clear disk brakes.
A true original to your 69 will be a 5.5" 3 "nub" wheel and will not clear disk brakes if you have or ever plan to convert your truck to disks. (they can clear with a 5/32" or 3/8" spacer)
The "nubs" are the bumps on the wheel that the hub caps pop over.
To measure a rim with no tire on it, measure between the lips where the bead of the tire sits. here is a link to a pic... http://www.sl113.org/forums/uploaded...im%20width.jpg
If your looking at rims with tires mounted check the nubs first then confirm by looking for the stamp on the back/inside of the wheel.

Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for. I had my doubts on the spare tire. I have drums and they work fine for now. If I do disc in the future, I would probably go 5 lug. Again, thank you very much!
