WTB - Vortec valve covers

I've got a friend who has a 96 Impala SS and wants to switch his valve covers back to stock? I think those are the vortec ones. Anyone got a nice pair lying around?

Re: WTB - Vortec valve covers

Unless he has relocated his alt or changed to a smaller alternator, then he needs to look for LT1 specific valve covers. The passenger side has an invention in the front of it to clear the big, stock alternator. The driver side is a standard centerbolt vortec-style cover.

Re: WTB - Vortec valve covers

Thanks for the tip. I guess that narrows the field of potential fits.

Anyone got a set of original 1994-1996 LT1 specific valve covers?

Re: WTB - Vortec valve covers

There's a set on eBay right now for $29 plus shipping. It a buy it now sale. That's about as cheap as I've seen them.
