Please help me copy this tire combo. What is it?

I acquired my grandfathers truck not long ago. I wanted to build it in a way that my father would like to see it, rather than by my own choice. After showing my father many pictures, this is what he chose for his fathers truck to look like. Therefore, I'm copying this look for my grandfathers truck. If anyone could shed some light on this tire size combination, I would greatly appreciate it. Vendors, feel free to contact me if you can get them.
All help is very appreciated.

Your looking at spending $10-15,000.00 to get that type of set up and stance ?

EDIT : well if you've got cuda money to drop and paying shops to do it I'm sure you'll get what you want .

To find out the exact specs on that truck you should contact VTMG Engineering. They look to be a professional photo shoot firm. They might share the client who owns the truck. I would love to have that look, but as Grumpy noted it is going to cost you a ton of money. Good luck on your quest.

Re: Please help me copy this tire combo. What is it?

Thank you for the responses. Well, Cuda money wasn't near what you see on TV. The guy paid 18, and he's going to restore it and take it to auction. He claimed to make 2-3 million per year just buying old cars, having his full time staff restore them, and sending them to auction. The money will take care of the turbo LS motor, the trans, chassis work, and hopefully wheels/tires. Will still need vintage air, paint, interior, and odds/ends. My preferred painter said he may now be able to get to it by the end of summer. He's worth the wait though. BTR is currently prepping the motor, for turbo/turbos, and the 4l80 is currently being built.

The rear tires look to be around a 29x18x20 MT sportsman sr, but they appear to say Goodyear. If MT made the matching fronts in a 28x8 (or 6) x18 that would be great.

My eyes are getting old but that looks to be a rendering of a truck...if so that means those tires and wheels could be anything but it definatly says goodyear on front and back...looks great though.

That's what I was thinking too. I'm not really into that style of truck but for some reason this one looks pretty good to me. I hope if its real OP finds more pictures and posts them up.

Re: Please help me copy this tire combo. What is it?

My personal preference is a stock 4x4 with skinny aggressive tires. Would have been much cheaper. This is the pic my father picked, so thats what im going for. I wonder how 29x18x20's on the back with 28x8x18's up front would look?

Re: Please help me copy this tire combo. What is it?

Have you looked at PCHRods' C10R build? IMO, it matches the rendering's stance and wheel/tire size the closest. Also, they've conveniently made a build thread to show what they did.

Looks like a rendering to me as well, but that exhaust! Yikes. (I do like where it exits, chevelle like)

Re: Please help me copy this tire combo. What is it?

The truck has a similar stance to one I built. I used the Mickey Thompson tires, 28x10 in the front and 31x16's in the rear. I had a 18x8 front wheel and a 20x12 rear wheel with a 7" backspacing. There are more pictures and info in my 68 S/C build thread. Cheers

Re: Please help me copy this tire combo. What is it?

I've never lowered, slammed, dropped, or done anything like that, but from a pure mechanical perspective, the wheels have such a dish that you'd at a minimum likely need a narrowed rear end and I don't know how you'd get the front spindles inset like that.

So you could get close with a wheel and tire package, but you'll never get that amount of dish/backspace without a complete re-engineering of the chassis. I think.

Re: Please help me copy this tire combo. What is it?

Ive looked at it a bunch as well. I normally don't care for one lowered that low----but I like this one. Im guessing youd have to narrow the rearend as well as widen the wheel wells in Both front and rear.
Ive looked a lot at wheels since I love the spoke look-----Ive never seen wheels like this----If I had, Id have bought them.
I think its a rendering as well----whatever it is, I like it too.

Reminds me of the trucks built by Drops R Us .

Re: Please help me copy this tire combo. What is it?

If our trucks use a 62 inch rear [I believe thats right] , and a narowed explorer rear was used [looks like it , its not a 12 bolt] that is 56 inches wide , that would be 8 inches narrower . 4 inches more offset in the rear backspace . Frame , tub, and suspension , drastically modified .
