Chevy Astro seat question

Hey everyone! I found a '96 Astro seat with the console and armrests, but I'm not sure if it will fit. I've noticed that most of the guys install 2000 and up Astro seats in their rides, so does anyone know if a '96 seat will fit the same? Any info is appreciated! Thank!

They'll work.
Here's an example.

Now i have read concerns that you're not center to the OEM steering column. If that doesn't bug you or going to change out the column and how its mounted then nevermind.

I'll be reupholstering the interior anyway. The Durango seats look a little too modern. If you remove the headrests on the Astro seats and reupholster they can look pretty old school.

Re: Chevy Astro seat question

Hey Softpatch, I am installing that same seat in my 55 TF. How did you install this seat in you TF? What seat brackets and tracks did you use, as well as what seat belts? I am trying to cut down the stock 2nd row brackets and fab mounts for the floor. Not sure if I am happy with the fact that there are only three adjustments on the tracks with approximately 2 inches pf movement between each adjustment.

While at the salvage yard I also grabbed a 1990's bench seat brackets from a full size Chevy truck. Thought about using it but was concerned about the strength of those seat mounts with the astro van integral seat belt clip anchor.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
