Help me with my Bucket Seat install

Ok, not the mounting. I have that part figured out.

The seat covers and foam were totally trashed. I did manage to save the springs and most of the listing wires. Now I don't remember where they go.

Well, a couple of them I do

The long ones (not pictured) go on the bottom edge of the bottom cover. The squiggly ones go on the back edges, pretty sure.

I'm sort of stumped on the 4 rectangles. And I seem to have more of the straight ones than places to put them.

Perhaps my Acme seat covers do not have the same number of listing sleeves to accept the wires? The PUI foam has a couple wires embedded in them.

Should I try and attach the hog rings and connect the listing wire directly to the wire in the foam?

Re: Help me with my Bucket Seat install

Have you checked the replacement foam for fit before you start ?

The horseshoe shaped wires are for the face side of the backrest
The four longest wires are for the seat face
And the wires once installed in the listing sleeves are then attached to the foam using hog rings

BE CAREFUL NOT TO GO THRU THE FACE MATERIAL WHEN INSTALLING HOG RINGS ONLY THRU THE LISTING

Post a few pictures of your seat covers front and back

Laying out the wires on the foam first works so you can see where they go

TOP/BACKREST
slide them into the listing sleeve with the cover inside out ,
then with the cover lying on top of the foam
find the center of the cover and the foam and install one hog ring and work your way down both sides keeping them about 3"- 4" apart

The covers are installed inside out and once you have the listings hog rung then the cover is folded face side out and the bottom and back side can be rung .
