Couple Steering Column Wiring Questions...

Hi All, going to a tilt and I had this middle piece between truck and column plugs (1st pic)

Now I have the 2 horseshoe plugs (2nd pic truck end on top) but they dont plug tight to each other and the colors are off on some of the wires..Do I need another middle piece?

Lastly do these need to be connected to start the engine?

Thanks in advance...

Re: Couple Steering Column Wiring Questions...

I have factory tilt and mine plugs in with the curved connector. It will run just fine not connected, only controls turn signal, hazards, horn.

Take a few zip ties and tie them tightly together, that will hold them.
ditto on what was said about the signal lights/horn/flashers, without these connected, you lose a lot of important things.....
