1971 c10 acceleration issues?

im a 16 year old girl and i everything i know about these trucks is from working on mine and reading on this forum. i have a 71 c10 longbed w a 350 from a later 70s truck i recently got running again. it has a rebuilt carb, and starts and runs fine but its not accelerating like it should be even when the pedals on the floor. could the issue be the accelerator cable maybe being too loose? check out the build thread on my page. thanks in advance

Re: 1971 c10 acceleration issues?

Likely the culprit is lack of timing.
What's your initial timing?
How much in the mechanical?
All in by what rpm?
How much vac advance?

And to save a fruitless search, where's your build thread?

Geezer,
She's new to the game.
You have to put it in easier
Terms. I'm not even sure if she
Has a timing light to check
Those things. But good advice
for sure.
