Does Magnaflow dictate pricing to dealers? This kit sells for $678.97 on every website there is. Good deal for offered price!

I don't think Magnaflow dictates prices because I bought this same setup for $424 (I think). BTW.... If your truck is lowered or has a fuel tank between the frame rails or both like mine, this is definitely not a custom fit, bolt on application like they say!

I just went through installing that exact system on my 72 fleetside. If you are using stock exhaust manifolds on the shortbed or the longbed you will also need magnaflow
kit# 15380. That will make a perfect hook up for the shortbed, For the Longbed you will have to have 13 inch SS extentions made to connect Kit 15380 to part # 16643. If you are using Headers then you can probably get by with just 16643. I bought my 16643 from LMC truck. They do not have any idea about how it fits or what it fits. I spoke to Magnaflow and they said they engineered 16643 for the short bed and left it to the buyer to figure out what they needed to hook it to the engine. They gave me the part number (15380) for the stock manifold extensions. It was back ordered from Magnaflow but I found it on Amazon for 225.00.

If you have headers this kit should be all you need, but if you have stock exhaust manifolds, you will need to buy the Magnaflow Manifold Pipes, Kit # 15380 which is $225.31 from Jegs or several others.

Best price on 16643 is on Amazon for $570.31 plus tax.... Jegs and others are $678.97 no tax. Both are free shipping..

I think my $600 shipped or $550 picked up is a pretty fair price for an unopened box item.. I have a commercial FedEx account and it is about $50.00 to ship a box this size with my discount..

I don't remember where I bought it from, I did a Google search for Magnaflow 16643 and checked out every website that had it. It turned out to be company I hadn't heard of. I believe I got free shipping too! I have had the system probably two years now.

BTW... I have Hedman long tube headers and it took a lot of cutting and welding to get this "custom kit" to fit right. I had to take the truck to 2 different muffler shops to get it done. I actually had to un-lower the rear of the truck about an inch to give clearance over the rear axle.
