New project...... "Trigger"

Hi all! New to the board so just thought I'd intro and try to post a few pics, although my phone isn't wanting to, lol.
Just bought a '72 Cheyenne Super 10, fleetside, lwb, orange with brown interior that has been painted black, 350/350, newer truck rally wheels, wood bed, PS, a/c, gauges, p disc brakes. Overall a good starting point, as the truck has a newly rebuilt engine, and all of the mechanicals are excellent, just needs A LOT of cosmetic attention.
Some fust in rockers, not too bad. Hood is toast as is tailgate, so I'll hafta replace those, as well as the bed wood.
Am going in a mild restomod direction, with just a few modern updates such as CD/Bluetooth for hands free phone, houndstooth upholstery over the vinyl in it now, and the wife insisted on seat heaters of all things, lol.
The truck is solid orange now, but I intend to go with an orange/white two tone, black interior. It currently has the black lower trim, but I'm going with the woodgrain so I can stain the bed wood to match as well as build a custom in bed tool chest versus the standard bed mounted tool boxes and stain it to match as well.
I intend to drive the truck as I restore it, so I'm sure that will lengthen the project. Anyway, that's my deal. Y'all take care.....

Re: New project...... "Trigger"

I'm gonna start with the interior since that's where I'll live most of the time. Just ordered new woodgrain for the dash and glovebox, new switch bezels, new plastic pieces (lock knobs, park handle, ignition lettering), gauge bezel, and the seat heaters my wife requires, lol. Next on the list is a dash pad and a/c vent kit. Trying to spend about $100 a week. Love seeing the UPS man come with new boxes, but it's killing me to just store everything. I'm dying to put on the new stuff as it comes, but since the interior is going to need a repaint, I'm not touching anything until I get all the new stuff bought. Then I'll take a long weekend to strip the interior, repaint, and put it all back together with the new stuff. Should be like brand new inside, drastic change........
