HO52 Rear Axle Question

I have a feeling that my HO52 breather plug is clogged because my rear end keeps leaking from the bottom bolt after a drive. Where can I get a replacement and how do I removed it?

Re: HO52 Rear Axle Question

I'm not sure exactly what type vent GM used but assume it is similar to other axles and it's a tube with a loosely fitting cover on the top. Be hard to clog up really.

More likely it's gravity causing the leak. Either the threads need sealant of the pinion seal is looking and it's running down if it's the front bolt. It it's the rear cover, back again to threads and/or cover gasket.

Re: HO52 Rear Axle Question

Brakleen clean. I've popped those caps off and clamped hose to route up high and turned down to allow for deeper water
