Dana 60 SRW to DRW?
I have a 1967 c10, she's got a 6" spring lift, Dana 60 rear Dana 44 front. My question is, I'm wanting to make it a dually. Has anyone went from SRW to DRW on a Dana 60?

Re: Dana 60 SRW to DRW?
Considering what parts cost, I would be on the lookout for either a DRW Dana 70 HD from a square body truck or a FF 14 dual wheel rear from a cab and chassis truck depending on what track width you want.

Re: Dana 60 SRW to DRW?
Sounds like you have a K/10, that's what a 4wd is. Or was yours converted from 2wd? I bet you could trade your SRW Dana 60 front axle for a DRW set even up. Converting is expensive. Dana 60 parts are expensive.

Re: Dana 60 SRW to DRW?
His front a 44 says in the post. I would prefer my '86 K30 be single wheel, but am not willing to spend the $ to convert the front. And it's going to look killer with 25" of tire on each side.
As I said above, getting a different rear axle the easiest and adding aftermarket dually spacers so you can run dually rims all the way around the cheapest and easiest. But not nearly as strong as the front 60.

Re: Dana 60 SRW to DRW?
I made the common mistake of taking Dana60 to mean the front (somehow missed seeing Dana44). I guess the C10 part threw me since I've never seen a Chevy 1/2t come with a dana60 rear. So, this truck has 8-lug now? Correct info on the truck would have netted a more accurate answer. I passed right over much of the story here and went straight to use a DRW Dana60/14-bolt combo. I don't know what those adapters cost, but you can get a Dana60 DRW pretty reasonable and have something to back up the look.
