Stake Pocket Tie Downs

Has anyone fitted tie downs in the stake pockets on 67 -72 bed.

Thinking of these for my 72 Stepside

or something similar. Ideally no drilling and will go under tonneau

Re: Stake Pocket Tie Downs

I bought a truck in San Diego that had a bed liner (bad bedwood) and the commonly seen stake pocket tie-downs. It was shipped on the tail of a flatbed, came through a big wind storm along the way. When the truck arrived, no bedliner. No big loss there, did me a favor. But those tie-downs were sittin' pretty. They do what they were made to do very well. Those look nice. I wouldn't spend much to get better looking ones, personally, because they would only be put in place while in use, so who cares?

Re: Stake Pocket Tie Downs

I thought these from LMC looked pretty cool. Not permanent, and no drilling or bolting. I've never tried them, so I can't speak to how well they work.

Thanks for the heads up on these. I ordered two pairs from Summit (overseas shipping). They arrived yesterday and fit well and simple to remove. Should do the job just fine.

Forum working a treat!

Cool beans! Now that you've tried them out and like them, I'll have to add some to my list...
