To Chrome or Not to chrome Honest opinions needed. Pics inside
Ok guys I have my truck done but I have always tossed around the idea of putting the chrome trim grill and other stuff on the truck. I know I want the two grill rings, but how far should I take this? Theres absolutely none on the rear other than the bumper. Not even around the tail lights. I kinda want to do the trim around the front hood and fenders and the tail light rings and on the tailgate.
What would yall do with my setup? Also the holes are either welded up or bondoed up, I haven't looked yet. Any experience with putting this trim on without the holes? I would hate to mess up and drill holes in the wrong spots.

Re: To Chrome or Not to chrome Honest opinions needed. Pics inside
Here's how I'd approach this. The front trim rings have enough of a lip that they would hold on fine with double stick tape. Then if u like the results. Buy the trim around the tail lights and do the same. If u like it and want to make permanent then drill 2-3 holes per tail light trim. The tailgate trim will be a little more tricky as the center holes and handle trim are blind holes. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Wow. I wasn't really thinking about doing side molding but that looks sick.

Ok who does the best repop trim. I think I am going to buy it all. Test fit and if I don't like it send back the ones I don't use

Note: I've been advised to use a very good multi bit to drill those screw holes where the vehicle has already been painted. Have also heard it's a good idea to place tape over the paint before you drill. You may want to treat the area you've drilled to prevent rust. I've seen where clear caulking was used to achieve that, which is what I'll probably do. Not that I'm in much danger for rust. Always garaged in Nevada.

With NOS aside, I've heard very good things about MARK-K reproductions.

Re: To Chrome or Not to chrome Honest opinions needed. Pics inside
I will look them up tonight. Thank you. I think I may leave the hood letters off because of my cowl hood. And yes I have a3 year old boy and 4 month old boy. They love to ride

I would put just the two grill pieces, not the eyebrows or hood lip.

Re: To Chrome or Not to chrome Honest opinions needed. Pics inside
The older I get the more I am leaning towards the chrome. I think I have lived out my years of smoothed out. Does anyone make a hood letter placement template? I just got home and was scared my lines were not strait enough for the chrome but I think they are after eyeballing it pretty hard. The chrome really makes and bad lines show easy.

Looks great James, Pretty sure I am going all out, grill rings, hood strip and letters, fender brows, side molding, tail light trim and tailgate strip, Should I do the C10 emblem?
Does anyone have an up close picture of where the hood and brow meet. I have a little spot I am wondering if the brow would cover up!

Re: To Chrome or Not to chrome Honest opinions needed. Pics inside
Put it all on. It'll look 20X as nice. It's a very nice truck, just a dated look. Fortunately an easy fix and you'll have a superb looking truck!
Any chance the trim holes are visible on the backside of the hood and panels? Sometimes the job isn't as thorough on the backside.

I would do the 2 grill inserts and the chrome trim down the side. Then it would be perfect to me
