What trucks wiring is compatible?

I have a 69 truck and in need of the rear wiring harness. What year trucks are compatible? Know of a salvage yard in the los angeles area? Anyone have a spare? Let me know.

thanks

Re: What trucks wiring is compatible?

Since tail lamp harnesses are mostly hacked to death I'd suggest a reproduction tail lamp harness and if needed intermediate tail lamp harness too. Most of the speciality places carry them. My 2013 Brothers catalog is listing them at $85 and $41ea.

A while back I was looking for one of these as well, and I second the fact on people hacking these harnesses to death. If your plugs are in good shape, find a decent "Square body" ('73-'87 fleetside) rear harness, and change the lamp sockets, the plugs are the same that connect to the long chassis harness, everything is in the same location, just different plugs.
Hth,

Nice, should be able to find plenty of those. Mine has speaker wire spliced in. What are people thinking?

Yeah, that sounds like a "back yard engineering"
Solution, or one for the idiot files....
