Fuel types
So I'm not sure if this has been addressed already somewhere. But I am getting ready to build a 454 for my 72 c20 and have been debating on doing e85. Has anyone done e85 on their trucks? What other upgrades do I need. I want to run some sort of fuel injection. The engine will be being bored .100 over to bring it out to a 505. What are all of your thoughts?

Re: Fuel types
I'm not sure boring an engine block that far is wise especially if you're building something you want to drive very much. If the block requires that much boring maybe find another block to work with. I have an E85 capable late model SUV. I've ran E85 twice and when I did the math for fuel cost, 93 octane gas was cheaper. My fuel mileage dropped more than 20% on E85 and the cost of E85 where I live is not 20% cheaper than gas. Just my .02 cents of course.

Re: Fuel types
I have seen E85 run with power adders because it keeps detonation down. Lots of power made with it in these situations. With no power adder (blower, turbo) regular 93 will be better.
