Your Thoughts on How Low

I recently bought this '83 C-10. Any and all work has been done by the PO with all the typical short cuts you'd imagine. I have no idea exactly how much it's been dropped.
I plan to start going through the truck and reworking what has been done already. But first I was curious if any experts on here could give an educated guess as to how much you think it has been dropped. Thanks.

Re: Your Thoughts on How Low

Thanks guys. For the record, in the back I think its only about a 2-inch gap between bottom of the frame rail and top of the axle tube. If that helps any. I know there's only about 1 3/4 inch of travel in the rear shocks, which isn't enough. It rides OK on the highway, but parking lots that aren't maintained are pretty tough to handle.

I'm gonna add a C-Notch in the rear, with some spring/shock ideas I've been tossing around. Rather than change to the entire trailing arm system, has anyone tried monoleafs with coilovers?

I guess the biggest issue, however, is in the front. I like the height where it's at all the way around, and didn't want to buy the wrong drop spindles and springs.

Thanks again.

So you are saying the front has no dropped spindles now ? Just whacked springs ? Are you going to stay with those wheels , 18"s ?

snaptoo ... that's right ... no drop spindles on it now. they cut the springs and relocated a set of Belltech shocks on it and that's it; I'm sure the ball joints are screaming too. ... and the wheels are 20s, which I plan to keep for now
